Euro-Emotur Manual: Empowering Tourism SMEs for the Digital Era

28 Nov 2024

The European tourism industry is undergoing a transformative shift, and the Euro-Emotur project is at the forefront of this digital revolution. Funded by the European Commission under the COSME programme, Euro-Emotur brings together small and medium enterprises (SMEs), cutting-edge technologies, and emotional insights to redefine the tourism experience.

What Does Euro-Emotur Offer?

The project focuses on enhancing SMEs’ competitiveness by embracing digitalisation through transnational cooperation and innovative capacity-building activities. By leveraging neuromarketing techniques, such as virtual reality, eye tracking, and EEG, SMEs can boost their digital reputation and tailor unforgettable visitor experiences.

Euro-Emotur also fosters collaboration through public-private partnerships, connecting SMEs with technology providers, tourism labs, and regional stakeholders to create a dynamic ecosystem of innovation. With over 100 tourism SMEs and 80 service providers engaged across 20 countries, the project is paving the way for a digitally robust tourism sector.

Introducing the Euro-Emotur Manual

As part of its mission, Euro-Emotur has developed a comprehensive Manual for SMEs and Destinations. This resource captures the knowledge, tools, and best practices generated throughout the project. Here’s what you’ll find:

  • Digitalisation Roadmap: Practical guidance for SMEs to adopt digital tools, improve KPIs, and enhance their market positioning.
  • Best Practices: Real-world examples from Euro-Emotur and other EU-funded projects showcasing successful digitalisation efforts.
  • Tips and Tools: Step-by-step recommendations for integrating innovative techniques like neuromarketing and personalising visitor experiences.
  • Euro-Emotur Hub Guide: Learn how to join the Euro-Emotur Digital Hub to access networking opportunities, resources, and peer learning.

This manual is not just a guide; it’s a roadmap to empower tourism SMEs and destinations to thrive in a digital-first world.
